9 Lives is an Unincorporated Association caring for special needs cats. Cats in our care are elderly or disabled,
FIV+ or have a chronic medical problem. They are kept as pets in the homes of our members for as long as they enjoy quality of life. They are not caged. We recruit
foster-carers willing to love and care for them with the support of 9 Lives paying the veterinary bills.

We Rescue and Rehome Ragdolls of any age, from kittens to oldies.
Sometimes
a Ragdoll is found in a shelter, or a breeder learns a Ragdoll
they may have placed is unable to stay in the new home for various
reasons.. a new baby, relocation, a divorce etc etc. Unfortunately
circumstances sometimes change in people's lives which affect the
lives of their Ragdolls. It is important to have a Ragdoll Rescue
central database established with names of people who are looking
for a Ragdoll to help out during these difficult times.Our mission
is very simple... to find the right good loving homes for
these beautiful felines.A
breed rescue volunteer (we are in need of volunteers) normally
takes the pet in, evaluates it for adaptability, provides any
necessary veterinary care, spays or neuters the pet, and either
places it with a family on the waiting list, or places it in a
foster home until adoption.
If you are in need of rehoming your Ragdoll or want to go on our Waiting List as an adoptee then please e mail for an Application Form.
While we
are trying to find a suitable home for the cat with a family on
the waiting list we keep her/him at our own premises. There we
will spay/neuter the pet as well as cover any and all veterinary
treatment required.
