However, due to the great need for all purebred & mixes, we now offer assistance in rescuing all purebred & purebred mix cats & kittens. While we are located in Rochester Hills, MI, we have fosters throughout Michigan and are developing relationships with fosterers & transporters in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Illinois. We offer our services to owners who need to rehome their pet as well as to shelters & other rescues who need to free up valuable space. All cats are vet checked, FeLV & FIV tested, vaccinated & spayed/neutered before adoption, as age permits. We welcome all inquiries!

The
Society for The Protection of Animals (SPA) is a non-profit
organization founded in March 1999 by Barb and Terry McGrady of
Fremont, OH. This organization was created to provide a pro-active
solution for minimizing the stray cat/dog population in our city.
During
the past several years, Barb and Terry have cared for and adopted
out hundreds of cats and dogs into loving and responsible homes.
As the word spread about their involvement, theyfound that the
situation had become too big for only two people to manage.
Despite their efforts, the stray population was still growing and
the animals were being abused or killed as a result of it. They
decided that the time had come to form an organization that would
help them in their fight for the protection of animals.
Under
the guidance of Barb and Terry, SPA's volunteer network is busy
fostering and finding homes for stray animals, searching for
funding resources, and creating spay/neuter programs for animals.
We are actively seeking members to assist our organization in
reaching our goals. Join us in our pursuit of creating a healthy
and safe environment for our animal population.
